Hyundai has introduced a 1.4-litre petrol motor for the Verna lineup. Earlier, it was only available with 1.6-litre petrol and diesel engine options. The 1.4-litre petrol motor has made the Verna more affordable and the prices for the same now start from Rs 7.80 lakh for the E and go up to Rs 9.10 lakh for the EX variant (ex-showroom Delhi). But, while these variants have been added, the1.6-litre petrol E and EX variants have been removed from the lineup. This has been done to avoid price and features overlapping within variants.The 1.4-litre 4-cylinder engine develops 100PS of max power and 132Nm of peak torque. It comes paired with a 6-speed manual transmission.
